It’s the news you’ve all been waiting for. We’re incredibly excited to welcome Martin “Rekkles” Larsson to the G2 Family as our new AD Carry.
Rekkles is an incredible competitor. He is widely considered one of the greatest Marksmen Europe has ever produced. Rekkles is a world-renowned Marksman, having won more than 4 European titles and many deep Worlds runs. He was also runner up in Worlds 2018. He will now, as part the #G2ARMY.
Rekkles expressed his excitement over joining G2
“My goal has been to be the best player in the game. I have 4 EU titles and a Worlds silver, but that is not enough. This is why I joined G2. They are a great company and a great brand. For them, winning Worlds is an aspirational goal as it is for mine. It was easy for me to accept their invitation to join. I am thrilled for this opportunity, and look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together..”
G2 CEO Carlos ‘ocelote’ Rodriguez also spoke about the monumental signing:
Rekkles will make his own path and the G2ARMY will be there to support him. He said he would win Worlds. He will. G2.
Together, we will be going back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back in the LEC and winning Worlds with Rekkles, Wunder, Jankos, Caps, Mikyx in 2021. We can’t wait to return to the Rift and show what the new squad is made of.
