Madison Sq. Backyard, New York – In a battle of unbeatens at welterweight, Richardson Hitchins (16-0, 7 KOs) busted up John Bauza (17-1, 7 KOs) for a dominant unanimous resolution win. (pictures Ed Mulholland)
All three judges scored it 100-88.
It was a technical boxing match in the beginning. Hitchins was credited with a knockdown when Bauza was off-balance and went down from a tangling of ft. Hitchins was touchdown correct punches throughout the second, with Bauza having some moments.
Within the fourth, Hitchins banked a legit knockdown when he landed an enormous proper hand down the pipe to drop Bauza. Bauza was in a position to climate the storm and survived the spherical. By the seventh spherical, the face of Bauza was busted up with quite a lot of bruising from the damaging punches of Hitchins.
Through the ninth, Bauza was going for broke as Hitchins blasted him proper again with quite a lot of large punches. Bauza was taking a beating for many of the spherical. Within the tenth and closing spherical, it was all Hitchins with correct punches with each palms.
