Eric Basran remained excellent as a professional after a six-round shutout of Juan Carlos Ramirez. Scores had been 60-54, 60-54 and 60-53 in favor of Basran of their light-weight bout Friday night on ESPN+ from Place Bell in Laval, Canada.

The six-round preliminary contest by no means modified gears. Basran—a former beginner standout—was in full management from the opening bell, as Mexico’s Ramirez (4-3, 0KOs) was disinterested in placing up a struggle. Basran (3-0, 1KO) fought largely behind his jab, reddening the best eye of Ramirez who spent the ultimate two rounds on the transfer merely to expire the clock as he settled for a 3rd straight defeat in lieu of placing up a struggle.

Headlining the present, WBC junior flyweight champ and native hero Kim Clavel (16-0, 3KOs) meets WBA titlist Jessica Nery Plata (28-2, 3KOs) in a scheduled ten-round unification bout.
