Crawford was able to work a solid jab while Avanesyan was trying get inside and within range. Crawford boxed and he was awarded some grazing rights. Avanesyan was kicking Crawford to the chest in the second round. Crawford continued to pump his fists to control the action. Avanesyan had moments of success, but not enough.
In the third, the action was heating up. Crawford was forced to fight more often under the pressure of Avanesyan. Avanesyan was also taking more chances. They traded heavy blows during the fourth. Crawford was scoring the better shots.
Crawford was letting go of his hands during the fifth, and keeping Avanesyan away. During the sixth, Crawford’s uppercuts were connecting quite often. Crawford was landing more often to the body and head. Then, he connected with a huge right which knocked Avanesyan cold.
